Conclusion
As mentioned before the three books that have been discussed have one common theme. In all the books there are people who are forced to deal with one another. However, if you look closer at every individual book, we see that they also have differences.
If you compare Twelve Angry Men with Lord of the Flies you can come to the conclusion that in both books, of course, the setting is very different. Twelve Angry Men takes place in a courtroom and Lord of the Flies on a deserted island. The ages of the people in the books are also different; in Twelve Angry Men everyone is much older than in Lord of the Flies. In both books, the number of conflicts grows larger and more intense. In Twelve Angry Men it cools off in the very end, while in Lord of the flies the fights lead to murder. In these two books, the bottom line is that the longer you're stuck with each other, the more conflicts can arise.
Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption is much more different from the previous two books. Both in Twelve Angry Men and Lord of the Flies the people grow apart, in Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption the people actually grow closer together and create a close bond. This book proves that being forced to be with eachother in a confined environment does not necessarily mean that you will end up hating eachother.
