Reginald RoseReginald Rose is the author of Twelve Angry Men. Rose was born on December 10th in the year 1920 in Manhatten, New York and he died in the year 2002. The people in New York were a great inspiration for him for writing his books. That is also the case for Twelve Anrgy Men. This and the fact that his father was a lawyer, made him write a book about a courtroom setting located in New York. The great success of Twelve Angry men, led to a film being made with this story, directed by Reginald himself. Rose was famous for writing about his opinion against racism, capital punishment and many other thing that were not written much about in this time because they were often taboo. His writing skills began to advance when he was in high school. Reginald sold his first script in 1950, named The Bus to Nowhere, and became more successfull along the way.

William GoldingWilliam Golding wrote the book Lord Of The Flies. He was born on September 9th in 1911 in the UK and passed away in 1993. William's books are often used in schools due to its critical expressions and symbolic meanings. When he completed college, he started teaching a group of unmanageable boys. This is where he got his inspiration for writing his book Lord Of The Flies. William really liked teaching but he decided to join the Royal Navy during Wold War II. During this time he saw the evil in people, which also led to him writing Lord Of The Flies.

Stephen KingStephen King wrote Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption. He was born in 1947 in Portland. Stephen created the nickname 'King of Horror' for himself after writing many successfull novels containing crimes, science fiction novels and other somewhat disturbing stories. He published his first story, entitled I Was a Teenage Gave Robber, when he was in high school in 1965. Numerous books of King have been made into a film and in some of them he even appears himself for a few seconds.
